Acceptable Use Policy
Last updated: February 2026 | Version 1.0
This Acceptable Use Policy ("AUP") governs how you may use the Nesra app and its features. It forms part of your agreement with 360milieu Creatives Ltd (trading as "Nesra"). By using the app, you agree to comply with this policy.
1. Purpose and Scope
This AUP sets out the rules for acceptable conduct when using Nesra, including the AI chat feature, journalling tools, goal-planning features, and any community or sharing features. It applies to all users of the app, whether using the free tier or Nesra Pro.
We take the wellbeing of our users very seriously. Because Nesra is a mental health and wellbeing app, we have specific rules designed to protect users' safety and to maintain a responsible, supportive environment.
2. Prohibited Conduct
You must not use the app to do, or assist others to do, any of the following:
2.1 Illegal Activity
- Break any applicable law or regulation, or encourage, facilitate, or assist others to do so.
- Engage in fraud, identity theft, or any deceptive practice.
- Infringe the intellectual property rights of any person or entity.
- Use the app in any way that could expose us or other users to legal liability.
2.2 Harmful Content
- Upload, post, transmit, or share content that is defamatory, obscene, offensive, threatening, harassing, or discriminatory on the grounds of age, disability, gender reassignment, marriage/civil partnership, pregnancy/maternity, race, religion or belief, sex, or sexual orientation.
- Share, create, or distribute content that sexualises, exploits, or endangers children or minors in any way. We will report any such content to the relevant authorities immediately.
- Share content that glorifies, promotes, or provides instructions for self-harm, suicide, eating disorders, or other harmful behaviours. If you are struggling, please contact Samaritans (116 123) or another crisis service.
- Spread deliberately false or misleading information.
2.3 Privacy and Security Violations
- Collect or harvest personal data about other users without their consent.
- Deliberately circumvent, disable, or interfere with any security feature, access control, or data protection measure of the app.
- Attempt to probe, scan, or test the vulnerability of the app or any related system or network.
- Introduce or transmit viruses, malware, spyware, ransomware, or any other malicious or harmful code.
2.4 Misuse of AI Features
- Deliberately attempt to manipulate, "jailbreak", or bypass the AI chat system's safety guidelines or content filters.
- Use the AI chat to generate harmful, abusive, or illegal content, including content that exploits or harms children.
- Use the AI chat feature to impersonate a real person (including any public figure or Nesra personnel).
- Attempt to extract training data, system prompts, or other proprietary information from the AI model.
2.5 Commercial Misuse
- Use the app for any commercial purpose without our prior written consent.
- Circumvent subscription restrictions or usage limits (including the free-tier message limit) through technical means, multiple accounts, or any other method.
- Resell or sublicence access to the app or any of its features.
3. Responsible Use of Mental Health Features
PLEASE READ
Nesra is a wellbeing tool, not a crisis service. The app's AI chat and reflection features are designed to support general wellbeing, not to replace professional mental health care. Please use these features responsibly.
We ask you to:
- Remember that the AI is not a therapist, counsellor, or qualified mental health professional. Do not rely on AI responses for clinical or medical decisions.
- Contact a qualified professional if you are experiencing a mental health crisis, thoughts of self-harm, or any medical emergency. See clause 4 of the EULA for crisis contact information.
- Be aware that while AI responses aim to be supportive, they may not always be appropriate, accurate, or suitable for your specific circumstances.
4. Reporting Violations
If you become aware of any conduct that violates this AUP, or any content that causes harm or distress, please report it to us at contact@nesra.co.uk. We take all reports seriously and will investigate promptly.
We will never disclose your identity to the person you have reported without your consent, unless required to do so by law.
5. Consequences of Breach
If you breach this AUP, we may take one or more of the following actions, depending on the severity and nature of the breach:
- Issue a written warning.
- Temporarily suspend your account and access to the app.
- Permanently terminate your account and ban you from using the app.
- Remove or disable access to any content that violates this AUP.
- Notify and co-operate with law enforcement authorities if required by law or if we believe a criminal offence has been committed.
- Take legal action against you, including seeking damages or an injunction.
Where we terminate your account for breach of this AUP, we reserve the right not to issue a refund for any remaining subscription period.
6. Changes to This Policy
We may update this AUP from time to time to reflect new features, changes in law, or to address new risks. We will give you at least 30 days' notice of any material changes via email or in-app notification. Continued use of the app after a change takes effect constitutes your acceptance of the updated AUP.
